This fund will provide a $1,000 scholarship every year to a senior student at all 4 of the Henderson County High Schools.

Donald “Don Don” Burnett

He was retired from Kimberly Clark, and was currently employed at Barnette and Coates insurance where he put pride in his work and his customer service matched no other. He was the former owner/operator of Big Don’s Bait & Tackle Shop and STJ’s Inflatables and Inflation station.

He was a lifetime Clemson fan and IPTAY member since he was 12 years old. He love to grill hotdogs in the snow, travel from mountains to beach, fishing, many years of softball, and spending time with his precious family. He loved his family unconditionally, and there was not a single event he missed. You would recognize his voice when you heard “What’s up Cuz?”

He was a local hero and pillar of our community supporting our four High Schools and many, many charities and foundations. He was an avid supporter of small businesses, especially McFarlan’s Bakery. There are no words to express how wonderful a man he was.
